Job Description:
SK Construction, Inc. is seeking a grade setter for heavy highway construction projects across the state. Minimum Qualifications: 1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Able to operate GPS equipment and maintain equipment. 3. Applicants must have a valid driver license, an acceptable driving record, a strong work ethic, be safety minded and willing to be part of a team. 4. The ability to communicate and a basic understanding of mathematics is required for day to day tasks. 5. Applicants will be required to take directions and be able to work on their own. Duties and/or Responsibilities 1. Safely and properly operate GPS including: Ability to maintain, set up, operate GPS in the field including all layout and surveying for Construction staking. Ability to set up equipment for machine control. Previous GPS operation experience beneficial. 2. Communicate effectively (verbally, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others. 3.
